Designer Call...

I wanted to take a few minutes to give some details about the Design Team call going on.

We are currently looking for anyone local that loves to create with paper and glue.  If you have ever shopped or cropped at Lilas then we are looking for you.  We are looking for different level scrapbookers and cardmakers to submit to our call. 

What is submitting all about.  We just want to see your work.  What your style is.  You can be a simple scrapbooker or one who really goes all out with the embellishments.  We want to see it all.  We have room on our team for 6 different styles and level scrapbookers and cardmakers.  So bring in 1 double page layout and 2 cards to Lilas by Closing on Friday March 18th.  Be sure to place a post it note on the back of all of your projects with your name, e-mail address, phone number and if you have a blog give us your blog address.  We would love it if you submitted projects with products you purchased at Lilas but it is not required.

As a design team member you will create with 1-2 different kits a month that are full of New Products that Lila gets in the store.  People love seeing samples and that is what you will do.  Create any combination of layouts, cards, mini albums etc with the kits.  Kits come with a 35% discount.  Plus you get a 25% discount anytime you shop at Lilas.  Kits are normally available at a first come basis, but if there is a favorite company you like or have photos for a certain thing we will keep that in mind when creating kits and put your name on that kit.

When you receive a kit we like to give you 2 weeks to create with it but sometimes something comes in later then we expected and want to get it out right away so those times there will be less then a 2 week turn around.   Once you create with you kit you will be responsible to take clear photos of your projects and e-mail them to us to be placed in the newsletter and or blog.  Plus you will need to turn them into the store by the deadline date or earlier so they can be displayed with those products.  After 30-60 days your items will be returned to you so you can place them in your personal scrapbooks.

You will need to attend 2-3 design team meetings. 

We always like to see our designers at the crops but this is not a requirement.

Designers get first dibs on the class calendar.  So if your interested in teaching please let us know.

So if you love to scrapbook and create pages full of memories and cards that put a smile on peoples face then I hope you will consider bringing in 1 double page layout and 2 cards for us to see.  Please be sure to have your items labeled with your  name, number, e-mail address and a blog address if you have one.  We will be looking at all the submissions on Saturday March 19th and will call everyone who makes the team by Sunday March 20th.  We will announce the design team in the Newsletter that will go out on Monday March 21st.
